Gillian Salmons

I am a retired nurse, formerly specializing in family support work in the community. I have two sons, a lovely daughter in law and a beautiful baby granddaughter. I moved to Somerset from Sussex with my late husband ten years ago. I love all forms of needle craft and enjoy machine embroidery and crazy patchwork. I love to knit clothes for my young grand daughter. I have a blue merle collie dog called Indie and we enjoy the Somerset countryside together - I live in a small village in South Somerset. I help with the Blackmore Vale Young Embroiderers Group in Yeovil and I run my own craft fair twice a year at Digby Hall, Sherborne, Dorset (in October and December). My youngest son has just landscaped my garden for me and I'm looking forward to getting it planted up in the spring. I'm the Secretary for our village Community Committee and we enjoy organising the summer fete, harvest supper and Christmas bazaar.I love to spend time in France on holiday with my family and dog.

I'm looking forward to learning more about quilting and making new friends, and prefer to be known as Gilli -
